Joseph F. Martini Sr. also known as: "Poppy Joe", "Joe", “Pops" and “Papa” formally of Hyde Park, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully surrounded by family members in his home in Casselberry, FL on March 1, 2024, at the age of 84.
Joseph is survived by his lovely wife of 59 years Nancy (Keizer) Martini. His two sons Richard Martini and wife Mary Jo (MJ) Martini of Franklin, MA, Joseph Martini and Fiancé Ellen Faraci of Orlando, FL. He is also survived by his six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Christopher Martini of Tallahassee, FL, Alexandra (Martini) Beckwith and Husband Peter Beckwith of Coventry, Rhode Island, Madeleine Martini of Middleboro, MA, Nicholas Martini of Middleboro, MA, Grayson Martini of Franklin, MA, Paige Weinmann of Orlando, FL. Great grandchildren, Emery and Easton Beckwith of Coventry, Rhode Island. Joe is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Joe was born in Boston, Mass to Margaret and Francis D. Martini on December 24, 1939.
He is predeceased by his sister Beverly (Martini) Cvilikas of South Boston, Mass.
Joseph attended Hyde Park High School. He then went on to join the United States Army.
In 1964, he married Nancy Keizer and remained married until his passing 59 years later.
Joe was employed with Beacon Management from 1971 to 1988, when an unfortunate injury forced his retirement.
One of Joe’s greatest joys in life was camping with family. Getting away on the weekends camping was a great way to spend time with family. That experience exposed us to new and different environments. In 1975, Joe brought the family to Winding Brook Campground where we would ultimately spend some of the best years with our family.
Joe loved being a grandfather. He adored his grandchildren and cherished every moment he had with all of them.
Joe was a passionate patriot who loved his country dearly. He would tell anyone who would listen how lucky we are to live in the greatest country on the planet.
Joe loved holidays with his family more than anything. Thanksgiving was Joe's favorite holiday. He would often say, “Food, Family, Friends and Football, what's not to love".
Joe loved spending time with family and friends. Those who knew Joe can still hear: "Hot Hot Hot" playing while friends and family were doing the conga, (which he named ~ The Martini National Anthem). We all knew if Joe mentioned, "I have happy feet!" it was most likely going to be a fun and entertaining night. We are going to miss him dearly.
A celebration of life will be held at the Canton Legion Hall.

Eulogy will be at 12:30 pm. Immediately following the eulogy, we will ask if anyone would like to share a story or a few words about Joe and what he meant to you. We will be offering light appetizers and refreshments. The hall will be serving drinks (alcoholic and nonalcoholic).
Because dad was a very patriotic man, we are asking attendees to wear bright and vibrant colors with either red, white or blue. No dark colors please. We want to celebrate joe's life, not mourn his passing.
