Daniel Thomas Deditz, age 72, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 25th, 2024. Daniel was born on November 12th, 1951 in Elkins, West Virginia to Betty and Frank Deditz. Daniel lived with his family and sister Darlene until moving to Florida in the early 70s.
In 1973, Daniel met Deborah Buck at Christ Community Church. Daniel and Deborah married on June 7th, 1975 and went on to have two children, Christopher and Danielle.
Daniel has been an active member of his Oviedo City Church community and Northland Oviedo since its inception. He has been a member of the Hills Small Group, the Senior Game Day Card Group, Northland Church and was a deacon at Christ Community Church in Tampa. He has been a big supporter of the UCF Athletic Program and had season tickets in football & basketball for many years.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Betty Deditz. He is survived by his wife Debbie, children Christopher and Danielle, four grandchildren and his sister Darlene.
Services will be held at Oviedo City Church on Saturday, June 22nd at 2:00pm with visitation starting at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Compassion International, an organization Daniel felt strongly about.
Oviedo City Church is located on 300 W State Rd 434 in Oviedo, Florida.
