George L. Schwier, 65, of Oviedo, passed away on December 15 , 2024. George was born to Henry and Ilene Schwier on February 17, 1959 in Greensburg, Indiana. He moved to Florida in the 1980s for his love of the warm weather and being close to the water. George’s passion for the sun and water led him to start his successful business working with watercraft. He truly lived out the saying of "Do what you love and you will never work a day in your life".
George was a loving husband, father, brother, friend and grandfather. George’s favorite part of life over the past 15 years was being a Grandfather. He gained his most beloved name of GG and found a love he never knew existed. He loved his grandchildren and spoiled them any chance he got. He was an awesome friend and loved sharing whatever he could to make someone else smile.
George leaves behind his wife Darlene (Wilson) Schwier; three daughters, Jeri (Ryan) Lotti, Ginger (Ronnie) Pryor, and Hali (Jarrod) Brecht; grandchildren, Braden, Rylie, Austin, Jaxon, Brooklyn, Colbie, Landon and Isabelle; Life long friend, Curt McKibben; Siblings, Steven (Kathy) Schwier, Sharon Richardson, Janet Jessop, Edna (Mark) Rauch and Sandra Lacefield.
Preceded in death by his parents, Henry (1991) and Ilene (Miller) Schwier (2020); Late Wife, Kristen (Ponik) Schwier (2003); Siblings, Paul Schwier (2015) and Diana Payne (2020).
A Celebration of Life Service to honor George will be conducted at 1:00pm on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the Orange Boating Club- 1974 Boat Club Road Oviedo, FL 32765. The family will receive friends from 11:00am until the time of the service.
