Obituary for Henry Hugo Eisenhardt Jr
Henry Hugo Eisenhardt, Jr., 94, of Sorrento, FL passed away the morning of Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at HCA Lake Monroe Hospital in Sanford, FL.
On March 20, 1928, Henry was born in Millstone Borough, NJ to Heinrich and Anna Schiller Eisenhardt. His family moved to Cairo, NY, where he shared his childhood with five sisters and two brothers. Henry served in Korea with the United States Army.
Henry and Marie were married on October 16, 1952 in Towson, MD. They shared 36 wonderful years together. Their three sons are Mark Eisenhardt, Gregory Eisenhardt, and Kris Eisenhardt and three daughters Debbie Fafeita, Laura Bonney, and Nina Heath. Marie passed in 1988, at age 59.
He was fortunate to meet Ogla Rouse and was married for 20 happy years. They traveled together exploring the nation. Olga passed in 2009, at the age of 88.
Henry had a strong work ethic, working as a contractor in Cairo, NY and then in Vero Beach, FL. He was a talented carpenter and woodworker, building several of his family’s houses. After Henry retired, he enjoyed restoring houses and spending time with his family.
Henry is survived by his five children; Mark Eisenhardt, Laura Bonney, Nina Heath, Gregory Eisenhardt, and Kris Eisenhardt. He is also survived by his sister Gloria Holdridge. Henry was also blessed with many grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Preceding Henry in death are his parents; his sisters and brothers Karl, Edith, Martin, Onnie, Elsie May, and Steffy; his wife Marie; his daughter Debbie Fafeita; and his second wife Olga.
Henry was a proud member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW Post 8093), the Eagle, and the Moose.
