Obituary for John W Taylor Jr
John William Taylor Jr, known as Billy to all his friends and family, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, June 20th at the age of 79.
Billy is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Taylor, his sister Starla Taylor Tignor, his daughter, Donna Taylor Laughlin, and his two grandchildren, Anthony Dechen and Taylor Eckard.
Billy was born on March 31st, 1943 in Newport News, Virginia to John Taylor Sr. and Mary Ethel Harris. He met the love of his life “Mama Shug” and the two married on February 22nd, 1971. Billy moved his family to the sunshine state and began a printing business of his own, Taylor Made Printing.
Billy took great pride in printing until he retired in 1999 and was then able to focus on his passion, fishing. Billy loved being on the water and even won a few fishing tournaments along the way. He also loved music, movies, spending time with his friends, and being a Paw Paw to his 2 grandchildren. He was known by all as a jokester with a heart of gold.
Billy was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
