Jon Jay Montgomery went to be with his Lord on Feb. 28t, 2026
He proudly served in the United States Navy as a Air Controller aboard the USS
Ticonderoga completing his service prior to 1964 and Reserves for 4 years. In his younger years he built a unique and memorable livelihood with his former wife operating several pet stores that specialized in both exotic and domestic animals.
He trained parrots and cockatoos and all types of parrots. He sold many at the Florida State Fair and was known as the "SnakeMan" selling a variety of snakes. He also operated a kennel in North Hollywood CA. where he originated the breeds of Cockapoos, YorkyPoos in 1966.
He completed three years of schooling at Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon majoring in Machine Shop and Landscaping.
Jon loved history and was an avid collector of antiques that he bought and sold.

A private "Celebration of Life" will be held with family, honoring Jon's remarkable journey and the joy he brought to all knew him.
