With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Krystyna Riofrio, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother, who left this world peacefully on January 3, 2025, in Oviedo, Florida, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on October 3, 1945, in Czarnystok, Poland, Krystyna was the cherished daughter of the late Jozef and Stanislawa Lukian. A woman of remarkable strength, humor, and generosity, she touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Krystyna’s laughter, quick wit, and nurturing spirit will forever be remembered by her family and friends.
Above all, Krystyna was deeply devoted to her family. She was always ready with a warm embrace, a thoughtful piece of advice, or a listening ear. Her dedication to her loved ones was unparalleled, and she found great joy in supporting and guiding them through life. She was especially fond of her cherished Cocker Spaniel, Chester, whose playful companionship brought her much happiness. She leaves behind Chester, who will miss her dearly.
A proud graduate with a master’s degree in chemistry from her homeland of Poland, Krystyna was always curious and intellectually engaged. She loved staying informed about current events, politics, and health trends. Her passion for these topics was matched only by her deep commitment to holistic well-being. She was always seeking ways to improve her health through natural remedies, alternative therapies, and a healthy lifestyle, demonstrating her dedication to living life to its fullest.
Krystyna had a zest for life, enjoying everything from indulging in her favorite Polish dishes, to exploring makeup, fashion, and watching the Game Show Network. She found peace and joy in tending to her secret garden, where she nurtured both plants and cherished memories.
Krystyna is survived by her former husband, Jorge Riofrio; her beloved children, Marzanna Sobocińska, Jacek Kieszkowski, Anna Adamowicz, and Jessica Riofrio (Stephen Kerry, son-in-law); her treasured grandchildren, Kasia Sobocińska, Pola Drobisz, and her two great-grandchildren, Hany Mohammadi and Lena Sobocińska.
