Michelina (Lina) Bushrui was born on September 18, 1933, in Alexandria Egypt and departed this world on May 10, 2024, at the age of 90. She is survived by her husband Danish, son Tullio, daughter Grace Schenk, granddaughter Marissa Mullin, brother Aurelio Zonni, and sister Connie Zonni.
She was a woman of tremendous love and affection. Her heart overflowed with love for her family and friends. She lived on three different continents in her life, Africa, Europe, and North America. She met and married her husband in Egypt. Then due to political reasons she had to leave Egypt and relocate to Italy with her family. Her husband was not able to leave at the same time and would join her later. During the time she was in Italy, she had her first child, Tullio. Soon after, Lina, her husband, and son moved to the United States and settled in Connecticut, where her daughter Grace was born. The family eventually moved to Florida where she lived the rest of her life.
Together with her husband she lived a rich life. From diverse backgrounds and different religions, they formed a bond of love that lasted 63 years. Like most couples they had their ups and downs, and they endured many struggles in life, but always managed to make it through and find happiness and at the end of the day love for each other. They raised two children and built a happy life together. With her husband, she journeyed the globe and was able to see and experience many different places and people. She found joy in the simplest things in life exploring new places and cuisines, barbeques or homecooked meals with family and holiday gatherings, Christmas and Easter were her favorite times.
Most of all, Lina was a beautiful loving woman, wonderful wife, mother, sister, and cherished grandmother. Although she has left this world, her light lives on through the people whose lives were touched with her kindness and love.
We who are left here will always have her love in our hearts where it will forever be a light in the darkness and her memory will be our strength in difficult times. Although she may be gone physically, her spirt will ever be present in the heart of her family and friends, reminding us to cherish each moment with each other and hold tight to the bonds of family and love.
