Robert E. Whitmer, 73, of Titusville, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at his second home in S. Daytona Beach, Florida.
Rob was born in Oil City, PA on June 27, 1952, to the late Carl Whitmer and Virginia Waslohn. He married Mary Ann Morgan on June 18, 1977.
Rob graduated from Franklin High School in 1971. He held a college degree in Electronics. He worked for Armstrong Cable but more recently, he retired from Schneider’s Dairy.
Rob enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, boating and going to Florida during the winters where he enjoyed going to Sea World and Disney. He had a love of going on cruises. He enjoyed spending time with his family and with his friends that were like family.
He is survived by his daughter, Monica Sawatsky and husband Mark of Titusville, PA; his son Jerod Whitmer and his partner Carrie Kinnear of Titusville, PA; his granddaughter Lindsey Sterling and her husband Steve of Cooperstown, PA; his grandson Easton Whitmer; and his great granddaughters Haylen and Bristol Sterling.
In addition to his parents, Rob was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Whitmer; a stepson, Craig Antinore; and his sister, Ginger Whitmer.
Per Rob’s wishes, no public services will be observed.
