Eileen M. Sniffen, 66 of Winter Springs Florida (formerly Long Valley, NJ) passed away peacefully on October 10, 2022 after a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer.
Born in Union, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Nancy Mackinson. Eileen is survived by her husband Richard Sniffen and their children T. Hagan Sniffen (Caitlin Kolmer), Kaitlyn Sniffen (Ryan Hudak), and Lauren Addison (Deva) Sumeersarnauth. As a mother she was always loving and kind. Eileen was the oldest of 7 siblings Anne Davis, Patricia Mackinson, Mary Mateer, Paul Mackinson, Andy Mackinson, Peter Mackinson. She also has numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that have become like family.
Eileen attended the Philadelphia College of Art and received her Master Gardener certificate from Rutgers University. Eileen was a passionate gardener and member of the Long Valley Garden Club. She loved spending time in nature. Elileen loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed reading by the water. She had a creative and artistic approach to everything she did, and always knew how to make you smile. Eileen was known to many and loved by all. She was a wonderful mother, wife, sister and friend. She had many friends and was an admired member of the community in Long Valley, NJ as well as Winter Springs, FL. Elieen will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her infectious smile and laugh will always be remembered and she will live on forever in our hearts.
