Ronald Mark Post, 82, of Orlando, Florida, formerly of Mahwah and Park Ridge, NJ passed away on August 26, 2024. He was a beloved father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Ron was born on February 27, 1942, in The Bronx, NY, and then moved to Teaneck, NJ, where he spent his early years. He then attended Fairleigh Dickinson University and later became a salesman at Clairol. Throughout his career, he was known for his hard work, dedication, and fun-loving personality.
But more than anything, Ron was a devoted father. He raised his three children in Park Ridge, NJ, where he loved spending time with them and coaching them in their favorite sports. He was an active community member and started the Park Ridge Athletic Association.
In his free time, Ron enjoyed collecting baseball memorabilia and traveled across the country to get autographs to add to his collection. He was always eager to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with others and was one to entertain people with stories of meeting famous baseball players and collecting rare autographs. In his later years, Ron loved to spread that same joy on Facebook, where he created countless music and sports groups that allowed him to share his passion for both topics with thousands of people.
Ron was predeceased by his parents Tobe Weishaus and Herbert Post. He is survived by his sister Cheryl Slater, children Jamie (BJ), Howard (Sharon), and Jen (Dave), and his grandchildren Samantha (Chris), Joshua, Zachary, Jacob, Matthew, Maxwell, Abigail, and Zoe. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date in New Jersey.
